If you have installed the Germany version, download the Germany Updates
file, unpack it and install the updates one by one in ascending order.
Wait until you start the next update until the previous update is finished.

I have ETKA 7.5 installed and for some reason when i go to update it says already downloaded and sure the updates are in the update folder next to the Temp folder, if i try to click on the update itself is says No 'Command line supplied' and when i open eta it says no updates Anyone help please Thanks. by clicking on the brands the state of the respective make is shown.
3 We are ready for the ETKA8 Upgrade now.
Run the Upgrade ETK8-UPGRADE-1186-712-718-1186.EXE from the
ETKA8_Germany_Upgrade_2017.rar archive for the Germany Version.
or
Run the Upgrade ETK8-UPGRADE-1186-712-718-1186.EXE from the
ETKA8_International_Upgrade_2017.rar archive for the International Version.
Note: To keep you installation up-to-date you can use the ETKA Updater – start etka updates v1.8.exe
The Updater will always download the latest updates. After Downloading you have to
start ETKA and follow the update process. Needed File in the attached link: ETKA Updater.rar
New ETKA 8 Update Solution
As i can see there are many problems with the Update Process from ETKA 7.5 PLUS to ETKA 8.
For those who failed in updating with the previous instructions, please try the following Solution.
Please read the following instructions carefully !
Note: The password is the same as in the first post !
Instructions:
1. You need a working ETKA 7.5 PLUS Installation (Updates min. 1160-686-692-1160)
2. Backup the ETKA Folder (normally on Drive C:) – then you will have a Fallback Solution
3. Copy setup.exe and ETKA8_Installation.exe from the archive in the ETKA Folder (normally C:ETKA)
– Needed File in the attached link: ETKA8_Update_Solution.rar
4. Start setup.exe and push the “Patch it” Button – If the process was successful you will get a “Successfully patched!” message.
5. If the system is “Successfully patched!”, start ETKA8_Installation.exe and wait until the update process is finished.
If the “Patch it”-Button of setup.exe is greyed out, one of the following requirements is not fulfilled:
In the Button you see the message:
– Already installed. – ETKA 8 is already installed or you tried it before
– No ETKA Files found – You didn’t start setup.exe from ETKA Folder
– Already patched. – You already patched the files before (continue with ETKA8_Installation.exe)
In the message box you see the message:
– Can’t patch your System. – no writing access to the files (close ETKA or run the programm as administrator)
– Already installed. – ETKA 8 is already installed or you tried it before
– Please rename this File to setup.exe, otherwise it will not work! – you are not allowed to remame the setup.exe files, undo the name change
– This Software require min. Windows 7. – You have to use Windows 7 or 10, ealier Windows versions will not work.

Solution
Before you start
- Are you a Linux user? Upgrade ERA 6.5 (and later) for Linux to the latest version
If you use an ERA 6.x Proxy component, upgrade your infrastructure with ERA 6.x Proxy
The ESMC 7.1/7.2 Server component only supports 64-bit operating systems. If you are running ERA 6.5 or ESMC 7.0 on a 32-bit machine, you need to migrate to a 64-bit machine before the upgrade to ESMC 7.2
- If you have an older unsupported database installed (MySQL 5.5 or MSSQL 2008), upgrade your database to a compatible database version before upgrading the ESMC Server
Prerequisites
Before upgrading to ESMC 7.2, make sure that all ESMC 7 installation prerequisites are met.
Upgrade to ESMC 7.2 is only possible from ERA 6.5 and later
You must have ESET Remote Administrator (ERA) version 6.5 and later to upgrade to ESET Security Management Center 7.2. Check which version of ERA you have installed.
Perform a full backup of ERA:
- Database: Follow these instructions to back up the ERA database.
- Configuration: Copy the
Startupconfiguration.inifile, located at:C:ProgramDataESETRemoteAdministratorServerEraServerApplicationData - Certificates: Export the Certification Authorities and Peer Certificates.
- Mobile Device Connector: If this component is used, copy the
Startupconfiguration.inilocated at:C:ProgramDataESETRemoteAdministratorMDMCoreConfiguration.
To manually upgrade ESET Remote Administrator 6.5 and later to ESET Security Management Center 7.2, follow the instructions below:
Upgrade to ESMC 7.2:
- Click the link below to download the ESET Security Management Center installer for Windows:
Download ESET Security Management Center installer - Run the installer file Setup.exe.

Figure 1-3 Read the End-User License Agreement, click I accept the terms in the License Agreement and then click Next.

Apache Tomcat upgrade
- ESMC Web Console upgrade works only if Apache Tomcat was installed via the All-in-one installer. ESMC Web Console upgrade is not supported if a custom version of Apache Tomcat is installed (manual installation of Tomcat service via service.bat).
- Apache Tomcat upgrade will delete the era folder located in C:Program FilesApache Software Foundation[ Tomcat folder ]webapps. If you use the era folder to store additional data, make sure to backup the data before upgrading.
- If C:Program FilesApache Software Foundation[ Tomcat folder ]webapps contains additional data (other than the era and ROOT folders), Apache Tomcat upgrade will not take place and only the Web Console will be upgraded.

If you have multiple Java versions installed on your system, we recommend that you uninstall older Java versions (the oldest supported version is Java 8) and keep only the latest version of Java.a) To select the already installed Java, click Select a Java installation, select the folder where Java is installed (with a subfolder bin, for example C:Program FilesAmazon Correttojdk1.8.0_232) and click OK. The installer prompts you if you have selected an invalid path.
Oracle Java licensing
Starting January 2019, Oracle JAVA SE 8 public updates for business, commercial or production use require a commercial license. If you do not purchase a JAVA SE subscription, you can use this guide to transition to a no-cost alternative and install one of listed supported Java editions.
b) Click Upgrade to continue or change to change the Java installation path.

Figure 1-7 - When the upgrade is in progress, the ESMC installation wizard is unresponsive. The upgrade can take longer, depending on your system configuration.

Upgrade the ERA infrastructure (Proxy, Agents):
Continue with the upgrade of ERA Proxy to Apache HTTP Proxy and ERA Agents to ESET Management Agents on the client computers.
Don’t try to abbreviate or you can start from scratch !

Apache Tomcat upgrade
- ESMC Web Console upgrade works only if Apache Tomcat was installed via the All-in-one installer. ESMC Web Console upgrade is not supported if a custom version of Apache Tomcat is installed (manual installation of Tomcat service via service.bat).
- Apache Tomcat upgrade will delete the era folder located in C:Program FilesApache Software Foundation[ Tomcat folder ]webapps. If you use the era folder to store additional data, make sure to backup the data before upgrading.
